Ayala, Felipe, 88, of West Milford on Friday, May 6, 2011. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Salustiana (Fuentez) and Eustacio Ayala and was predeceased by his wife, Angelina Torres in 1998. Mr. Ayala had been employed by the US Postal Service in New York as a general mechanic in air conditioning and HVAC. An Army veteran, he served from 1944 to 1946 and had resided in Brooklyn, NY and Newton, NJ before moving to West Milford a short time ago. Surviving are two sons, David of Brooklyn, NY and Joseph and wife, Helen of Courtland, NY, one daughter, Elizabeth Hu and husband Michael of Newton, NJ. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service on Wednesday at 8 PM. Disposition private. The family is asking for donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater NJ Chapter, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365in lieu of flowers.
