Backus, Bonnie (Monica) M. (Monroe), 87, widow of Peter Backus, on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Born in Paterson, Mrs. Bonnie (Monica) M. Backus lived in Riverdale coming from Ogdensburg and coming from VA. She had been employed as a Crossing Guard in Ogdensburg Boro. Surviving are a daughter Monica Coombs (Meade) and husband Bill of Riverdale, 3 sons Ernest Stansfield of W. Orange, Eugene Stansfield of Franklin, and Michael Backus of MA, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Dawn Walthers of Virginia Beach, VA.  A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Ogdensburg Presbyterian Church, 21 Kennedy Avenue, Ogdensburg, NJ 07439.
