Born in Suffern, NY, Mr. Longmuir lived in Bloomingdale, NJ, for 33
years, coming from Ringwood, NJ. He had been employed as a heavy
equipment operator by the City of New York and was a member of Operating
Engineers, Local 15, NY, NY. In addition to his wife, also surviving are
son, Douglas, Jr., of Allentown, NJ, daughters, Cheryl Hudson of
Bloomingdale, Diane Longmuir of West Milford, NJ, and Mary Mc Guiness of
Warwick, NY, brothers, Dennis of Palm Coast, FL, and Stuart of Dallas,
TX, grandchildren, Kelly, Heather, Becky, Melissa, Marlena, Jessie, and
Gina, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Service 8 PM, Friday, at the
Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale, NJ,
following visitation, 4-8 PM. Final disposition private. In lieu of
flowers, donations to Tri-Boro First Aid Squad, Inc., PO Box 222,
Butler, NJ 07405, or Bloomingdale Animal Shelter, 23 Brandt Lane,
Bloomingdale, NJ 07403, would be appreciated.
