Henry J. Nowinski, Sr., age 71 passed away on January 1, 2012. Born in Bayonne, NJ and moved to West Milford in 1972 where he built his home in Upper Greenwood Lake and established his business- a lumber yard in town " Hewitt Supplies". He retired at the age of 48. In his younger years he was in the Army Reserves and later became a carpenter. He was a long time member of the West Milford Elks Lodge #2236 and the Polish American Legion in Pine Island, NY He is survived by Regina Nowinski and a daughter Diane Bayles of West Milford, a son Joseph of Charlotte, NC and his grandchildren Henry, Taylor, Tyler and Regina Nowinski and his significant other Stella Sanok of Goshen, NY. His son Henry Nowinski, Jr. of Boynton Beach, FL predeceased him (6/27/2010).
