Rupp, George D., 85, widower of Ruth Gibbs (2000), passed away Monday, October 3, 2011. Born in Wilmington, DE, Mr. Rupp lived in Pompton Lakes, NJ for 62 years. He served in the Army during the WWII, was the owner of the Pompton Lakes Laundromat since 1977, a manager for Acme Markets, Clifton, NJ and various other stores, and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Pompton Lakes. Surviving are son, George of Highland Lakes, NJ, daughters, Gail Guetzov, of Butler, NJ, Leslie VanDyk and Ruth Meredith, both of Arizona, sister, June Gilmour, of S. C., brother, Albert Rupp, of Lake Placid, NY, seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his wife, he is also predeceased by his sister, Helen Rupp (1989).
