Wiggins, George R., of Hewitt, NJ passed away May 7, 2011 at the age of 85. He was a proud US Navy Veteran serving in WWII from 1943-1946. He was a member of the West Milford VFW Post #7198, the American Legion Post #0289 and Elks Lodge #2236 and a former member of the West Milford Special Police. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company and the West Milford Board of Education. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Helen Inez Stephens Wiggins (May 7, 2009) and his parents, Elizabeth Desmond (April 29, 1994) and George T. Wiggins (Dec. 21, 1980) and his brother, Charles D. Wiggins. He is survived by his 2 sons: George and wife Sarah of Oak Ridge, James and wife Kelly of Hewitt, and his 4 daughters: Blanche Bender and husband James of Highland Lakes, Stephanie Muth and husband David of Wayne, Monica Palecek and husband Emanuel of Bushkill, PA and Sabina Winskey and husband David of Rome, GA and his sister, Margaret Starick of Haskell. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Prayer service on Tuesday at 7:30 PM. Final disposition private.
