Bishop, Phillip L., 79, of West Milford on Friday, April 14, 2017. Beloved husband of Gail H. (Pulis) Bishop. Born in Peoria, IL, he was the son of the late Joseph and Willa (Colby) Bishop. A resident of West Milford for the past 54 years, he was an Army veteran and was employed by Flextronics Industries of Parsippany, NJ in quality control. He was a member of the West Milford Presbyterian Church and its 2x2 Couples Club, local CB Clubs, the West Milford Beautification Committee, Sheep Hill Observatory of Boonton and Schroon Lake Association of New York. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Robert (wife, Christine) of MA, Phillip (wife, Jennifer) of West Milford, two daughters, Susan Cappadona (husband, Michael) of Andover, NJ, Meredith Bishop of Hamilton Square, NJ, one brother, Joseph (wife, Linda) of PA and six grandchildren. Brennan, James T. ("JB"), 84, husband of the late, Mary Patricia ("Pat") (2017), passed on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Born in Paterson, Mr. Brennan resided in Pompton Lakes for 55 years. He had served in the Air Force during the Korean War and had been employed as an electronic engineer for Kearfott, Little Falls, NJ. He had been a member of St. Mary’s Church in Pompton Lakes, past president of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for more than 25 years. He is survived by three sons: James T. Jr. of Highland Lakes; Shawn T. of Torrington, CT, and Kevin M. of Ft. Myers, FL; two daughters: Sherry L. Sudol of Montville, and Susan R. Jensen of Highland Lakes; two brothers: Ronald Brennan of Friendswood, TX, and Kerry Brennan of Midland Park; two sisters: Ruthie Brunck of NC, and Patricia Sinacori of Wayne; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Clark, Georgianna E. (Oldham), 94, passed away April 10, 2018. Born in Newark to Robert and Laura (Douglass) Oldham she was a longtime resident of Pompton Lakes. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Clark. Loving sister of Patricia Moore and Mary Oldham both of Pompton Lakes, and many cherished nieces and nephews. He is survived by the following: His wife, Julia De Groat, sons, Frank, Jr. and Clinton, daughter, Kourtney, grandson, Francisco Sierra, and granddaughter, Bria De Groat; brothers Sidnore De Groat (Brenda) of VA, Milton De Groat (Barbara) of NV, and Anthony of SC, sisters Adrianna Batchelor of SC, and Henrietta Mann (Ernest); of NY; His Mother-in-law, Maryland Milligan, of NJ; Sisters-in-law Claudette Coleman (William) of NJ, Paulette Milligan, of NJ, Valerie Gunn (Terry) of NJ, Leah Milligan (Howard) of NJ, Sharon Mann (Wayne) of NJ, Connie Van Dunk (Arthur) of NJ, and Maretta Van Dunk of NJ; Brothers-in-law Charles Milligan (Luanne) of NJ, Tyrone Milligan (Melissa) of NJ, and Garrett Milligan (Allison) of NJ, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Sidney and Lahoma De Groat, brothers Eric De Groat and Andrew De Groat, and sister Barbara Wright. He retired from Waste Management after 25 years in 2005. Gilchrist, Ruth Minnie (Naylor), 94, of West Milford, formally of Prospect Park, passed away April 26, 2018. Wife of the late John Gilchrist Sr. and daughter of the late Milton and Minnie (Ramsey) Naylor. She worked for Haband in Prospect Park before retiring and was a member of the West Milford Golden Agers. Surviving are son, John R. Gilchrist Jr., wife Michele and daughter Ruth Ann Braen, husband Arthur, grandchildren Michael Gilchrist , wife Denise, Dawn Gilchrist and wife Jaime, Robert Braen and partner Julie Bratolli, Aaron Braen and wife Lydia, Donna Ligieri and husband David and great grandchildren AJ Braen and Ethan Gilchrist. Glauch, Lieselotte S., 93, of Pompton Lakes on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Edmund S. Glauch Jr. Born in Osnabrűck, Germany, the daughter of the late Friedrich and Margarete (Kőhler) Stagge, she was employed as an office worker for the Grand Union Co. in Wayne, NJ. Survived by her niece, Barbara Post-Gambuti (husband, Stephen) of Oak Ridge, NJ. Predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Margaret Glauch in 2006. A memorial service will be held at the New Apostolic Church, 819 Edwards Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054 on Wednesday, April 18 at 8 PM. Krause, Kenneth C. Jr., 60, passed away on April 11, 2018 after a long illness. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, raised and lived for many years in Dumont, NJ, and most recently lived in West Milford and Bloomingdale, NJ. He is survived by his sister Loretta Ernst, his brother-in-law Kenneth Ernst, and his nephew, Michael Ernst. He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth C. Krause, and his mother, Rae Krause. Kenny was a kind soul who cared deeply for animals and loved music and food. He was a member of the West Milford Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir; he was also a volunteer at the West Milford Animal Shelter where he spent many long hours caring for the homeless cats. Kenny was also an avid bowler who belonged to a local bowling league and was one of those rare people who bowled a 300 game in his younger years, and had many trophies to his credit. Kenny enjoyed music from the 1920s-30s and was well known to the radio station WFUV, which he would call regularly with requests on Sunday nights when they played music from that era. The DJ knew him on a first name basis and would routinely play his favorites. Visitation will be at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Rd., West Milford, NJ on Saturday, April 14 at 10:00 – 11:00 AM followed by a brief service. Milligan, Maxine M., 70, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018. Daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Van Dunk) Milligan, Maxine was a lifelong resident of Ringwood. She had worked as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Center of Family Resources in Ringwood. Surviving are brother Darrell Milligan and wife Ann Marie, nephew Darian, niece Kristina and her children Ava, Athena and Valon, and grandchild Doris Van Dunk and her two children Jamal and Autumn. Rust, Henricus M., 70, passed away April 26, 2018. Beloved husband to Sandra Rust and son of the late Hens and Maria (Rustvbeek) Rust, he was a 36 year resident of Hewitt, NJ. He was employed as a welder and pipe fitter for Merck in Rahway, was a member of the Catholic Church and volunteered at Holy Name Friary, an NRA member, an avid golfer and enjoyed baking, cooking and woodworking. Schmidt, Mary Rose, (Schneider), 91, passed away April 25, 2018. Beloved wife of the late William Schmidt Jr. Born in Brooklyn, NY to August and Rose (Myers) Schneider, she lived in Hewitt, NJ for the past 61 years. Mrs. Schmidt was a retired registered nurse working many years at the former Wayne General Hospital, Wayne, NJ. She was a member of the West Milford Presbyterian Church, a West Milford Girl Scout Leader, one of the founding leaders of the Greenwood Forest Cavaliers, a member and past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Silentia Lodge, Butler, NJ and Representative to Ontario for the Eastern Star.
