Colborn, Doris M. (Kurnath), 86, passed away on August 11, 2018. Beloved wife to the late Robert Colborn and daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Novabilsky) Kurnath, she had been employed as a bookkeeper for Passaic Rubber in Wayne. Doris had also been a Chief Deputy in the Tax Department for Goodhue County in Minnesota. She was a very loving and caring mother and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Surviving are sons Thomas Saitta of West Milford, Richard Saitta (wife Donna) of Wayne and Gary Saitta of Nutley, grandchildren Michael Saitta (wife Maureen) and Joseph Saitta and great grandchildren Olivia and Emma. She was predeceased by sister Mary Kurnath and brother Joseph Kurnath. Visitation will be Thursday 4-7 PM, August 16, 2018 at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ 07480. DiSanto, Deborah A. (Smith), 66, of Hewitt, NJ on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Beloved wife of Jerry DiSanto. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Patricia A. (Curran) Smith. A Hewitt resident for the past 28 years, she moved here from Little Ferry. Deborah was employed by the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, for 40 years as a Registered Nurse. Active in the Warwick Yoga Center, she loved cooking and gardening and was an avid animal lover. Surviving in addition to her husband are a brother, Frank Smith (companion, Russell) of Middletown, NY, 4 sisters, Patricia M. Costanzo of West Milford, Eileen S. Kossler (husband, Scott) of Hewitt, Anne Marie Cerci (companion, Leo) of Toms River, Marybeth Napolitano of Lyndhurst and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her faithful canine companion, Willow. Predeceased by a brother, James G. Smith. Drost, Norma A. (Martin), 94, wife of the late, Walter Drost and Thomas Neil, passed on August 9, 2018. Born in Haledon, Mrs. Drost resided in Butler for 7 years coming from Pompton Lakes and GA. She had been a homemaker and a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pompton Lakes. She is survived by three daughters, Norma Krysiak (husband, Harry) of Franklin, Sharon Fett (husband, Joseph) of Gulf Breeze, FL. and Laurie Monahan (husband, Peter) of Bloomingdale, one sister, Amelia Chobot, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Ford, Diane M. (Grosser) age 54, passed away Saturday August 11, 2018. Born in Pequannock to her late parents, Jack and Genevieve (Akers) Grosser she resided in Hewitt for the past twelve years, formerly of Butler. Beloved wife of George, loving mother of Nadine and Natasha Ford and Merissa Spear all of Hewitt. Sister of Jack Grosser Jr. and Bonita Collins both of Vernon, her "little peanut" grandson Aiden, nieces Amanda and Sydney, nephews Jack and Brandon. Memorial service to be announced at a later date. Gilligan, Daniel “Danny” Thomas, 32, of West Milford, New Jersey, passed away at home Friday, August 10th, 2018 with his family by his side. Born at St. Johns Hospital, Danny lived in Queens, New York, until he was 6 years old, at which time, he and his family moved to West Milford. Dan attended Westbrook, Macopin and West Milford Township High School. During that time, Dan attended the IEARN International Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, representing Smile Train to present and share team leadership and development skills. He also participated for several years in Odyssey of the Mind and Destination Imagination. He and his team won the New Jersey DI competitions for several years and competed at the international competitions many times. Danny graduated from West Milford High School in 2004 and survived the Project Graduation event of that year. Danny graduated from Widener University in Chester, PA in 2008 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Creative Writing with a Pre-law track. During his time at Widener, Danny joined Alpha Phi Omega, Habitat for humanity and several other campus activities. In addition, Dan won the Widener University President for a Day competition where he traded place with the school’s chief executive for a day. After graduation, Dan worked at several organizations, including H & R Block in West Milford and Park Avenue Radiology in New York City. In November of 2000, Dan was diagnosed with a brain tumor and treated at Columbia University, in New York. Danny spent the rest of his life dealing with multiple re-occurrences and was treated at St. Joseph’s Children Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey and Langone New York University in New York City. While trying to raise awareness about brain cancer, Danny was recognized by “Voices Against Brain Tumors” with their Survivor’s Award. The Pediatric Brain Tumor Society added him to their Roster of Stars. Dan was gifted with a Make a Wish grant where he and his family spent a fun fill week in Disneyland. Danny would like to be remembered not for his struggles but for his love of life, family, friends, his laughter and big heart; and specially love of books, superheroes and sitcoms. Dan is survived by his loving parents, Jim & Ana Gilligan and his devoted brother, Kevin Gilligan, all of West Milford. There will be a celebration of Dan’s life on Saturday, August 25 from 12-4 PM at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ 07480. Intrabartola, Rosalie (Galati), 83, passed away on August 7, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Intrabartola, and daughter of the late Salvatore and Lucy (Giordano) Galati. She was a homemaker and a West Milford resident for the last 15 years, coming from Staten Island. Surviving are sons Peter (wife Rena, deceased) of Randolph, John (wife Pamela) of Lindenhurst, NY, daughters Rosanne Lipari (husband Anthony) of Masapequa, NY and Joanne Intrabartola of Virginia, brothers John Galati of Pennsylvania and Richard Galati of Staten Island, NY, sisters Katherine Novick, Barbara Canazza and Betty Pagan all of Florida, grandchildren David, Joseph, Julia, Elizabeth, Thomas, Salvatore, Alexis and Joseph and great grandchildren Angelo and Victoria. Lewis, Mary Jane, aged 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 17th. A life-long resident of New Jersey she grew up one of eleven Ackermans in Wanaque. A resident of Wantage she previously lived in Randolph and Nutley (where she raised her two children). After graduating from Butler High School and 20 years later from Rutgers in Newark she worked for 25 years as a Social Worker at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital. She is survived by her husband and companion of 42 years John, her son Mark, her daughter Marjorie, four grandchildren (Rex, Timothy, Deirdre and Ryan), three siblings, and many other family members. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, August 25th at Richards Funeral Home in Riverdale. Visitation 2-4 PM. Burial will be private. O’Connor, and daughter of the late Michael and Irene (McKeon) Logan, she resided in Greenwood Lake for 46 years. She had been employed as a medical receptionist for Warwick Allergy, was a member of the Queen of Peace Church and also a Eucharistic Minister. Steele, Ronald J., 82, passed away on August 26, 2018. Beloved husband to Rose (Bennett) Steele and son of the late William and Ida (De Pollina) Steele, he was a resident of Hewitt for 40 years. He had been employed as an Assembly Line Worker for Ford Motor Co. in Mahwah, NJ, was an Air Force Veteran, and was an avid skier, sailor and tennis player active in Awosting.
