Bailey, Alberta, Mickey, age 79, of West Milford, NJ, entered into eternal peace Thursday, August 5, 2021 at her home in West Milford. She was born in Lakeview, South Carolina to the late Edward Jr. and Gladys (Ford) Washington. She worked for New York State Division of Developmental Disabilities for 42 years. Rather watching her children play or rooting for the Giants, football was her passion. She loved cooking and spending her time entertaining her family and many friends. She was a lifelong Baptist and attended Echo Lake Baptist Church. Among the greatest joys of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Christmann, Richard Harry “Ricky” of Woodland Park, a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 825 entered into rest on Tuesday August 3, 2021 at home. He was 61. He was born in Passaic, New Jersey after moving to West Milford in 1963 he lived most of his life there graduating from West Milford High School in 1978. Ricky was predeceased by his father Albert Christmann Jr. and his stepfather Victor L. Marchiafava. Surviving include his mother Jean Marchiafava of Fort Myers Beach, FL and West Milford and stepmother Rose Christmann of Ogdensburg. His long time partner Eileen Vermeylen of Woodland Park. His daughter Brooke Buscio and husband Dominick of Blairstown. His grandchildren Leila and Dominick Buscio. His son Richard of Paterson, NJ. His brother Buddy and his wife Heidi of West Milford. Sister Wendy Bamper and husband Dan of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Brother Brian Christmann and wife Danielle of Montaque. Brother Michael Marchiafava of Fort Myers Beach, FL and West Milford. Francis, William H., 88, a resident of West Milford for the past 52 years, on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late William and Grace (Campbell) Francis. William was employed by American Cyanamid of Wayne, NJ as an international traveling manager and retired in 1995, after which he worked at Greenwood Space Center and then at West Milford Town Hall until early 2020. With a love of life and laughter, some of his interests were many, including learning to play the piano later in life, playing frisbee-golf, dining out with friends, and most importantly, spending time with his beloved family. A member of West Milford Presbyterian Church where he was a Deacon and a member of the church choir, he was also a dedicated member of West Milford Lions Club. William is predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Lucille and his sister, Jean Smith (nee Francis). Surviving is one daughter, Michele Mooney of Myrtle Beach, SC, and three sons, William C. (wife, Robin) of Raleigh, NC, James R. (wife, Jeanette) of Franklin Lakes, NJ and David S. (wife, Amy) of Bellmore, NY. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 29 at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford from 2 to 6 PM. Funeral services on Monday, August 30 at the West Milford Presbyterian Church, 1452 Union Valley Road, West Milford at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, NY. Frassa, Joseph G., passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC with his loved ones by his side. He was only 69. Born in Hackensack, NJ to Gabriel and Margaret Frassa, he worked for Modern Handling Equipment Group until he retired. He resided in Ringwood for the past forty four years where he raised his family and dedicated his time to youth sports when his children were young. Beloved husband of Randi (Lovatt) Frassa, loving father of Anthony Frassa of Vernon and Michael Frassa of Ringwood. Brother of Maryann Lanzo of Hewitt. Loving grandfather to Joseph, Adriana, and Adelina. Joseph, in his younger years, enjoyed drag racing his Camaro at both Race Way Park, and Island Speedway with his friends. He loved vacationing in Canada and spending time at his second residence in Lake Wallenpaupack in Pennsylvania . There he enjoyed fishing and boating with his family and friends but most of all telling stories. Joseph will be dearly missed by all who got to know him. Jacobia, Victoria H. (Kapichak), 104, life-long resident of Wanaque, passed peacefully in the early morning hours of August 31, 2021. Victoria is now reunited with her beloved husband, of 43 years, Chester Jacobia, Sr., whom she raised her family with in Wanaque, NJ. The legacy of Victoria’s strength and zest will be remembered by all who knew her. Living on her own till 97 years of age she took great pride in her home, getting good deals on her pantry full of groceries, and her house plants especially her favorite African violets. Victoria volunteered for many years in the Second Mile Shop at the Midvale United Methodist Church. In her free time, she loved a good game of bingo, reading books and watching her programs on TV. She is predeceased by her parents Seraphin and Mary Kapichak of Ringwood and her two siblings Christina Mary Southwick and Rudolph (Rudy) Kapichak. Left behind to cherish her memory are: her two sons, Chester Jacobia, Jr. (wife Dolores) of Butler, NJ, Victor Jacobia (wife Joanne) of Parsippany, NJ, nine grandchildren: Chester E. Kirkham, Richard, “Dick”, of Ringwood New Jersey, peacefully passed away on August 19th, with his loving family by his side. He was 92. Dick was a loving and loyal husband, father, and friend to many. He was always quick to help others. Born to the late William and Millicent Kirkham, in 1929, Dick and his late older brother William (Bill) grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Dick is survived by wife Jean; sons Richard, and David with wife Tonia; sister-in-law Ruth Somerville; nieces, Carolyn Somerville, Barbara Ilg, and Kathy Kirkham; Nephew, Mark Somerville; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. He proudly served the US Army during the Korean War, training at Camp Rucker for the 47th Infantry Division, 682nd Engineer Battalion, Combat Engineers, Company D, stationed in Germany. One of his greatest thrills later in his life, were the annual reunions with his Service brothers. He and Jean would travel to a different destination each year for the reunions and fun times. In 1957, Dick married the only love of his life, Jean, after they met at Lindy Lake, where their respective families had summer cabins. They have been soul mates since. This year they celebrated 64 years together. In 1960, they moved to a new home in Ringwood to raise two boys. He was a role model of common sense and using your skills to solve any problem. He was employed by Atlas Copco and assisted in the development of air powered rock drills, with travel to the company headquarters in Sweden. There is a patent to his credit related to a portable rock drill. His next position had him designing and implementing custom web tension, and process controls, which were critical in production of such products as Scott toilet tissue, Band Aids, Pampers, and even Hellmann’s Mayonnaise. Dick enjoyed many activities, over 30 years, at his Catskill retreat. His many hobbies included tending their large garden and many fruit trees, fishing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and riding his motorcycle. Spring was his maple syrup season from the trees on the property, which he shared with friends for years. Many friends enjoyed his company on the porch. Sit long Talk much. Lemanski, John Zdzislaw, 64, beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and an acquaintance. Born in Poland to Halina & Emilian Lemanski and came to the U.S. at 7 years of age and lived in Greenpoint Brooklyn, Kew Gardens, Queens and currently in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Attended St. Stanislaus Kostka School, Aviation High School and served as an altar boy for many years alongside his brothers at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Brooklyn, New York. Surviving are sisters, Alicia and her husband Tomasz Piascik and their children Diana and Thomas, Christine and her husband Marek Piascik and their children: Yvonne and her husband Brian Forehand and their son Tyler and daughter Marie, Christopher and his wife Kelly and their children Mark and Blaire. Brother, Wieslaw Jesse Lemanski and his wife Silvia and their daughter Julia and Thaddeus Lemanski and his wife Heidi and their children Matthew, Annie and Emma. He will be missed by all including many cousins and friends. Lungren, Marilyn (Sheehan), 82, of West Milford on August 31, 2021. Beloved wife of William Lungren. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of Timothy and Dolores (Kane) Sheehan. Marilyn was employed as a secretary by the Valley Middle School in Oakland, NJ. Surviving are 4 sons, William Robert Jr.(wife, Rita) of West Milford, Daniel Patrick (wife, Rhonda) of Wantage, Brian Joseph. Milligan, Vivian Lee, 70, passed peacefully on August 26th at home. A lifelong Ringwood resident, she was born in Paterson, NJ to the late William H. Van Dunk and Ruth E. DeFreese. Pre-deceased by siblings, Ruth E. Fudal, Iris E. Van Dunk, and Myron K. Van Dunk. Vivian is survived by her husband and life partner of 56 years, Aaron Lee Milligan, two sons, Aaron Chad Milligan (wife, Melissa) and Jared Dean Milligan (Stephanie), six grandchildren; Traci, Erin, Angelina, Aviana, Viviana, and Andrés and three great grandchildren; Kennedi, Kolton, and Harleigh. As well as, sisters, Barbara Van Dunk, Myra Van Dunk, and Ashley Struble. As an influential community activist, Vivian relentlessly fought for the cleanup of the Ringwood Superfund site as well as those who needed a voice. Her passions included genealogy, family, card playing, and advocacy. She will be remembered most for her leadership, free spirit, and generous heart. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, member of the Ramapough Lenape Tribal Nation and active member of the following organizations; RNAA, CAG, NYU, Church of Good Shepherd, and Edison Wetlands. Repin-Smyth, Svetlana F., 70, at rest in Ringwood on August 11, 2021. Born in Belgium to Alexander and Sonia Repin, she came to the United States when she was four years old, growing up in South Jersey and then residing in Ringwood for the past forty five years. Svetlana was an active parent in her daughter Jeree's development and participation as a cheerleader, in dance classes and singing. She was very accomplished and knowledgeable in the computer field, an Information Technology Analyst for I.B.M, Sterling Forest, N.Y., Time Warner in New York City, and Paine Webber in Weehawkin before retiring. Beloved wife of Leslie A. Smyth, loving mother of Jeree Nicole Smyth of Ringwood, sister of Elizabeth Bennett of Millville, N.J. Predeceased by her twin brother John. Scholts, William J., 89, of Hewitt, passed away Saturday, August 28,, 2021. with his children by his side. William was born in Passaic, NJ to the late Simon and Janet (Fraser). He was a master printer and a forty year member of the International Typographical Union, a member of the Passaic Mohawks Social and Athletic Club, the VFW Post 7198, and the Camp Hope Seniors. He proudly served in the United States Air Force 75th ADW-Korea 1952-53, and awarded the Korean service medal with two bronze battle stars, as well as the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. William is predeceased by his loving wife, Claire (2009) and his son William (2020), his sister Isabel, and brothers, John and Simon. He is survived by his children, Ken (Linda) Scholts, daughter-in-law Denise Scholts, Kitty (Tom) Heuer, Janet (Mark) Moldovany, Tommy Scholts, and Jim (Tracey) Scholts: his grandchildren, Chris and Eric Scholts, Billy (Christina) Scholts, Jennifer (Michael) DeMarco, Tommy, John Luke, and Nicole Heuer, Randy (Shannon) Moldovany, Jamie (Kenny) Hinkle, Mark Jr. (Jessica) Moldovany, Steve Moldovany, and Cailey Scholts: great grandchildren, Alexander, Stephen, William, Nicholas, Jackson, Michael, Emma, Aubrey, Ruby, and Madilyn. His sister Janet (Al) DeOliveira, and brother Donald “Beansy” (Pat) Scholts. He left quite a legacy, and will never be forgotten. Skwira, Anna (Handzo) passed away on August 11, 2021, at the age of 92 surrounded by her loving family. Anna was born in Czechoslovakia and came with her family to the United States as a child, where she lived in Garfield and Oak Ridge, New Jersey and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph, Sr. and her sons Joseph, Jr. and Robert. She is survived by her daughters Susan Skwira and Carole Steneken, and grand -children Jennifer James, David and Dee, and great grandchildren Kaitlyn and Madeline James. Anna was a loving mother and generous and kind person who loves all animals great and small. Anna was a parishioner at Holy Faith in Oak Ridge and Holy Trinity Slovak in Garfield Lutheran Churches. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Anna Skwira will be held on Friday, October 15th at 11:00 am at the Holy Faith Lutheran Church, 104 Paradise Road, Oak Ridge, NJ. Stephens, Jean (Smith), 90 of Hewitt, passed peacefully into the lord's hands in the early morning hours of August 8th at her home in Whiting, NJ. Born in Chicago she would reside in Midvale and Haskell settling into Hewitt with her family on Christmas Eve of 1958. Jean is a retiree of Avon Products, Suffern, NY and a communicant of The Calvary Baptist Church of West Milford. She was predeceased by her Husband, of 30 years, Arnold Robert (Bob) Stephens, her companion of 33 years Daniel Whitehead of Ringwood, Sisters Marion Colfax and Georgia Carlson, and Brother Raymond Smith. Left behind to cherish her memory are five children, Ronald Stephens Sr. and wife Katherine of Brunswick, GA, Barbarajean Walter and husband Kurt of LaGrange, KY, Arnie Stephens of Jackson, NJ, Stephen Stephens of Weatherford, TX, Warren Stephens and partner Mike Ravasy of Asbury Park, NJ. Vigna, Anthony J., 79, passed away August 20, 2021 Anthony was born in Yonkers, NY to the late John and Laura Vigna and lived there most of his life. He was a video editor for Matrix Studios, NY, New York. He is survived by his two sons, John Vigna of West Milford, NJ and Robert Vigna of Yonkers. Also survived by a sister, Janet Romeo of Myrtle Beach, SC and two grandchildren Cynthia and Gregory.
