Haring, Kathleen Sharon, the world lost a beloved mother, nana and friend in Kathleen Sharon Haring of Pompton Plains, NJ. She died surrounded by her loved one in the early hours of August 14, 2023 at the age of 80. Kathleen was born to Elizabeth King on May 2, 1943 in Pequannock, NJ. She was raised as one of 10 brothers and sisters by her mother Elizabeth in Lincoln Park, NJ and graduated from Boonton High school. Kathleen married Gordon Haring on June 27, 1965. They moved to Pompton Plains in 1973 were together they raised 3 children: Gordon (son), Tracy (daughter), Kelli (daughter). Kathy was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her husband and children and cherished her role as Nana. Kathleen is survived by her son Gordon Haring and his girlfriend Brittany VanVelkinburgh, her daughter Tracy Schenk, her daughter Kelli Santee and her husband Alan, and her grandkids Krista Wingate and her husband Joey, AJ Santee, Brielle Santee. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews whom referred to her as Aunt Sugar. The family has entrusted Richard’s Funeral Home with the arrangements. A Viewing is scheduled for Saturday August 19th from 1-4 pm in Riverdale NJ. A reception will follow at The family home.
Massaro, Diana E., 71, passed away August 13, 2023. Born in Fords, NJ to the late Francis and Lorraine Koons she resided in Pompton Lakes for the past twenty eight years. Prior to her retirement she was a pharmacy technician for A&P Pharmacy, Pompton Lakes. Beloved wife of Anthony Massaro, loving mother of Stacie Penny, grandsons John and Kevin Rooney, cousins Denise Waga and Ellie Hoeflinger and John Smink and Edward Smink. Visitation hours Sunday August 20 from 2-6 pm at Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark-Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Funeral service at 5:30 pm. Private disposition. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Stillman, Howard E., 77 of Hewitt, NJ passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023. “Howie” was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late William and Lillian (Endicott) Stillman. Howie has been a resident of West Milford/Hewitt NJ for over 50 years and worked as an Industrial Arts Teacher for Mahwah High School where he later retired from after 41 years. Howie took his work home with him and was always “tinkering with” some type of automobile! When he wasn’t building or fixing them, he was enjoying them. He loved snowmobile outings, riding quad trails and watching NASCAR racing. Howie is predeceased by his brother William (Bill) Stillman, but together they built many memories working on and racing Bill’s Honda Odyssey at Accord Raceway in New York. Some of Howie’s best family moments were during the several years he built and raced his own stock car alongside his two sons on the Flemington Speedway. Surviving Howie are his son, David Scott Stillman who lives with his wife Kim in Delaware, and his second son Jaycen Stillman who resides in West Milford, NJ. He also leaves behind a niece (Dyane), nephew (William) and eight grandchildren: Shayla, Cory, Blake, Dakota, Kaden, Cole, Sierra & Trevor Stillman.
