Born in Garfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Bloscicak) and Charles Petronchak and a resident of West Milford for the past 7 years moving here from Fort Lee, NJ. Surviving are two sons, Brian S. of Hewitt, NJ and David P. of Slatington, PA and one sister, Mary Lisovsky of Garfield, NJ. Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Ferralasco, Ora M. (Douglass), 95, passed away February 9, 2019. Born in Wanaque, Mrs. Ferralasco resided most of her life in Pompton Lakes, where she worked as a bookkeeper for Huntermark Insurance. Born in Holbeach, United Kingdom, Elsie resided in West Milford, NJ prior to moving to Cape Coral, FL, where she lived with her daughter Diane Johnson and husband Jesse Johnson, who were Elsie's caretakers. She had been a homemaker and worked various jobs. Hatek, Stanley R., 76, of Rowland, PA formerly of West Milford, NJ passed away February 22, 2019. Mr. Haftek was born to Stanley and Helen (Morozewicz) Haftek and raised in Paterson, NJ. He was a 1960 graduate of Central High School. An Army veteran, he was stationed in France as part of the Army Signal Corps. He married Marie (Winkler) in 1966 and they settled first in Wayne, NJ. Stanley worked hard by day and studied by night to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. As their family grew, they moved to West Milford, NJ. Mr. Haftek became President and CEO of Kleerco, Inc., in Hawthorne, NJ, a position he held for 22 years before retiring. He was a caring businessman who thought of his employees as family. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard, trademark cigar in his mouth. Stan was a lover of animals , especially his dogs. Upon moving to Rowland, PA, with wife, Marie, after retirement, it wasn't uncommon to find a herd of deer in the yard looking for treats. In his retirement, he spent many happy hours behind the wheel of his '67 Camaro, both at car shows, and driving on the tracks at Pocono Speedway and Watkins Glen. Stan was a devoted grandfather to seven, who affectionately called him "Boppa". He is survived by his loving wife, Marie (Winkler) Haftek. Beloved father of Karen Haftek Konrad and husband James of Pen Argyl, PA, Gary Haftek and wife Eileen of Warwick, NY, and Robert Haftek of Hardyston, NJ. Brother of Eileen Phillips of Riverdale, NJ. Grandchildren Courtney, Kirsten, Jamie, Kaylee, Lyndsey, Liam and Sean, who will all greatly miss their Boppa. Lemmons, Susan E. (Travis), 66, of West Milford on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Beloved wife of William Lemmons. Born in Passaic, NJ, the daughter of Margaret (Kappeler) Travis and the late Robert Travis. Susan was a resident of West Milford for the past 37 years moving here from Wayne, NJ and was employed by the West Milford Board of Education as a school cafeteria assistant. Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Travis Lemmons of West Milford, two daughters, Alleen De Jager (husband, John) of Vernon, NJ and Dawn Lemmons of West Milford and one brother, Robert Travis of Florida. Markert, Albert Roy, 78, of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away on February 11, 2019. Born in Paterson, Albert, spent most of his life in West Milford. He was employed at Sears Hardware in the plumbing department and was a member of the West Milford American Legion. Albert leaves behind his three loving daughters, Lori Edwards and her husband Glen of Oakridge, Donna Allan of Cape Coral, FL Debbie Daly of Medford, NJ and five wonderful grandchildren, Stephan, Megan, Erin, Kendall and Kelsey. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Judith and his son-in law Brian Daly. O’Brien, Michael William, age 74, died peacefully on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains with family members at his side. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Richards Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Richards Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 2-4 pm and from 7-9 pm. A memorial service will also be held in Decatur, Illinois (date to be determined).Michael was born in Decatur, Illinois to Donald and Caroline (Hays) O’Brien. He earned his doctoral degree in English from the University of Illinois in 1973, where he instituted a writing lab for disadvantaged students. He taught literature, creative writing and expository writing for 34 years at Fairleigh Dickinson University. His imprint on the future is in the lives he touched through his teaching and mentoring. His poetry has been published in many anthologies, including the Red Wheelbarrow anthologies; his book of poems, Absence Implies Presence, was published in 2009. In retirement, he wrote poetry every day. Michael is survived by his wife of 39 years, Moira; brother, Stephen (Susan) O’Brien of Mattoon, IL; sisters, Mary (John) Olson of Bloomington, IL, Madonna (Robert) Burtschi of Oreana, IL, Regina Welch of Arkansas; two brothers-in-law, William (Blazena) Shaw of Waldwick, NJ, Robert (Robin) Shaw of Hillsborough, NJ; nephews, Josh (Laura) Mahon of Decatur, IL, Fred Shaw of Hillsborough, NJ; nieces Lindsay Miller of Springfield, IL, Jennifer O’Brien of Georgia; and grand nieces, Riley Johnson and Ruby Miller, both of Springfield, IL; Rien Mahon of Decatur, IL. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William Joseph, one sister, Susan Swanson and her husband Lloyd.
