DeMarco, Teresa M. (Falvo), 81, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a resident in Pompton Lakes. She had been employed as a special needs aid for the Clifton Board of Education. Teresa was a devoted mother, grandmother and aunt. She is survived by a daughter, Catrina Capobianco (husband, Vince) of Pompton Lakes, grandchildren, Joseph, Victoria, Antonia, Vincenzo and Alexandra and all of her favorite nieces and nephews. Hill, Stuart Martin, 75, on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. Beloved husband of Judith (Mann) Hill for 51 years. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Robert Clyde and Glenna (Gray) Hill. Stuart has been a resident of Hewitt for the past 40 years, moving here from Cresskill, NJ. Employed for many years as a biomedical service engineer for companies such as Medtronics, Alpine BioMed and Natus Co. Retiring after 28 years as a Master Sgt. from the NJ National Guard, 50th Armored Division, Company B in Teaneck, NJ. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Christopher of Parsippany, NJ and a daughter, Allison Hill of Union, NJ. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Larry and Richard. Memorial visitation at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Saturday, July 27 from 2 to 4 PM. Hoffman, Sande, M., on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Jacob and Charlotte (Peal) Hoffman. A resident of West Milford since 1999 he moved here from Saddle River, NJ. A veteran of the Army, Sande served in Vietnam, receiving a Purple Heart and the Distinguished Service Medal. He was a life member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, life member of the 11th Armored Calvary’s and Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia. Surviving are two daughters, Sarah Hoffman of Oak Ridge and Rachael Hoffman of Oakland, one brother, Steven of Florida and a sister, Karen Hoffman-Bonica of Texas. Jaisli, John, age 81 of West Milford, NJ passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at St. Luke Rehabilitation Center, New Hartford, NY. He was born in Basel, Switzerland and moved to Toronto as a young man where he met and married his wife Nedra Shiers Jaisli. The family moved several times, first to Switzerland to Long Island, NY and finally to New Jersey. He was well travelled and together with his wife journeyed to over 30 different countries. Mr. Jaisli enjoyed hiking, bocce and table tennis. Mr. Jaisli was predeceased by his wife in 2006. He is survived by his three daughters, Karen Quittner her husband Gabriel of Markham, Canada; Beverley Seif and her husband Steven of New Hartford, NY; Katharine Marlton and her husband Kenneth of Markham, Canada; a son Jeffrey Jaisli and his wife Jennifer of West Milford, NJ and his grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Jennifer, Joanna, Daniel, Diana and Madison. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 27 at 10:30 am at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ with burial of remains to follow at Cedar Heights Cemetery, West Milford. Koestler, John J., 84 of Hewitt, NJ on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Beloved husband of Gail (Gatlin) Koestler. Born in Hillsdale, NJ, the son of the late James F. and Martha (Quackenbush) Koestler. A resident of Hewitt since 1966, he moved here from Hillsdale, NJ and was an Army veteran. He made his living as a Printer while enjoying gardening, skiing and collecting memorabilia. He was a man of many talents but his first love was for his grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Karin Casole (husband, Frank) and Kris Thompson (husband, Todd) and four grandchildren, Kristie and Joe Casole and Tierney and Tiege Thompson. He is predeceased by siblings James A., Edward, Mary and William; survived by sister, Margaret. A memorial service is planned for September at the West Milford Presbyterian Church. Lewis, Hilda K. (Schreiber), 85, on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Reuben T. Lewis. Born in East Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Margaret (Schatz) Schreiber. Hilda has been a resident of Wanaque for 5 years, moving here from Wayne, NJ and was a stay at home homemaker. Surviving are two sons, Reuben K. (wife, Fran) of Pequannock, NJ, Allen T. (wife, Roxanne) of Riverdale and two daughters, Margie J. Morgan (husband, John) of Wanaque and Jeanne H. Lippi (husband, Bob) of Bloomingdale and a sister, Rose Murphy (husband, Tom) of Belleville, NJ. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Caitlyn Lewis and Christopher, Sophia and Nicholas Lewis and Lauren and Jonathan Lippi. Predeceased by a brother, Karl Schreiber. Maletsky, Geneva Moore, 86, passed away at home on July 15, 2019. Born in Louisville, KY in 1932, Geneva graduated from PLHS in 1950, earned a nursing degree from Monmouth Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and then moved to Pompton Lakes in 1954 where she became an active and contributing resident. Geneva is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Dr. Evan Maletsky. Dear to her heart and most important was her extended Maletsky family of four children, Mark, Kerry, Janine, and Lorin, their four spouses, Fran, Kris, John, and Becky, nine loving grandchildren, Justin, Kiernan, Kristin, Kyla, Jonathan, Jackson, Evan, Belzimere, and Kiera, plus two new great-grand daughters, Sawyer and Evangeline. Geneva shared her abundant energy and many talents with the Pompton Lakes community through both Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts, Woman’s Club, Doll Club and Quilting Guild, plus the Chilton Medical Center Auxiliary. She was a long-time active member of the Pompton Reformed Church. She loved reading, sewing, traveling. She loved crafts, word games, giraffes. She loved people. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 19 at Richards Funeral Home in Riverdale, NJ. There will be a service at 10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home followed by interment at the Pompton Reformed Church cemetery. A repast will be held at the church at noon. All of Geneva’s family and friends are welcome to come celebrate a life well lived. Patricia worked as a banquet manager for the Tides of North Haledon, Westmount Country Club, West Paterson and Ramada Inn of Fairfield. After her retirement she worked as a lunch aid in the Butler schools. Beloved mother of Laura Matraxia and husband Vincent of Saylorsburg, PA. Sister of Mary Oldham of Pompton Lakes. Grandmother of Meridith Handley, Alexander and Tiffany Matraxia. Great grandmother of Colten Handley. Predeceased by her five siblings, Georgianna Clark, Robert Oldham, Raymond Oldham, Gladys Line and John Oldham.
