Barrett, Elaine M, (Struble) age 73, passed away March 19, 2020. Born in Paterson, NJ to Thomas and Helen (Wanklin) Struble, she resided in West Milford for forty seven years, formerly of Butler. Mrs. Barrett was a records clerk for West Milford Police Department prior to retiring. Elaine was an avid supporter of numerous military organizations to include the USO and Vietnam Veterans Association. Beloved mother of Wayne Barrett of West Milford and Timothy Barrett of Glenwood. Also survived by her brothers Jack Struble of Georgia and Steve Struble of West Milford. Grandmother of Sarah, Melissa and Jayden. Predeceased by her husband Raymond. Services were private under the direction of Richards Funeral Home, West Milford. Interment was at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
Layman, MaryAlice passed away peacefully the morning of March 13, 2020 surrounded by her family at home in Newfoundland, NJ at the age of 79 years. She is predeceased by her son Kenny Lee, and husband Joel Layman. She will be lovingly remembered by her surviving family, sons Danny Lee and Tommy Lee, daughters Tracy Hardy (Brad) and Kelly Lee, and granddaughters Carly Clearwater (Stephen), Megan Ierna (Josh), Erin Hardy, and Riley Bauer. She was born as MaryAlice Heffron and raised in Lyndhurst, NJ. She remained close with her best friends from the graduating class of 1958, and they often gathered together. She moved to Ringwood, NJ to raise her family before moving to Westbrook, CT to be near her grandchildren. In Connecticut, she stayed busy helping to care for her granddaughters, which was her true passion in life. She returned to NJ for her final years. MaryAlice was an avid gardener, animal lover, antique collector, and had a very patriotic spirit. Her amazing strength and ability to overcome carried her through life’s hardships. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Her family will be holding a private memorial to honor her memory in the near future.
