Croker, Rosemary, with profound sadness we announce the death of our loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother and friend, Rosemary Croker, who passed away at home on March 24, 2021 with adoring family and friends at her side. She was one of the most beautiful souls one could ever hope to meet. Rosemary is now reunited with her husband Frank and daughter Patty. Her greatest joy was quality time spent with family and friends.  She was a dedicated mother first and foremost who treasured her children and embraced every moment spent with family. She is survived by her brothers Bill and John; loving Mother to Sue, Jim and Marianne (John); cherished grandmother to Matthew, Samantha, Steven, Alex, Tyler, Sarah and John; great grandmother to Sadie and Wyatt. She extended kindness to everyone she came in contact with and had the God given gift of brightening the lives of those around her. She lived her life with a deeply rooted faith and believed that the whole world was on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you. Through her experience with struggle, suffering, and loss she gained an appreciation, sensitivity and understanding of life that filled her with compassion and a loving concern for others. Her heart  was filled with strength, grace and peace. Powdermill Residents share in the loss of Rosemary and will grieve along with her family. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. The family will receive visitors Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Richard’s Funeral Home , 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale, New Jersey. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family as they celebrate Rosemary’s life at a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church at 2:00p.m.
Destito, Mary passed away on March 28, 2021.  She lived all of her 95 years in Haskell, New Jersey. Many who knew Mary often saw her working in her yard, she so enjoyed the outdoors.  She will be joining her husband Frank, and daughter Marilyn in heaven. Mary is survived by her daughters Carol Ann Bogdewicz, and Rachel Ambroziak, her six grandchildren, and her five great grandchildren.  The family wishes to have the memorial of Mary Destito’s life private.
Florance, George Ellis, of Pompton Plains, died on March 20th, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was 90 years old. George was born to Charles and Elsie (Romaine) Florance in Pompton Lakes where he graduated from Pompton Lakes High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and the MCR until he was honorably discharged in 1959. He had a lifelong career at E. I. DuPont in Pompton Lakes. He married Lois Krause of Pompton Plains in 1954 and moved to Pompton Plains where they raised their family. He was a loving and compassionate family man who will be dearly missed. He enjoyed time with his loved ones, going out to dinner, and having family parties and barbeques. He especially loved decorating the house at Christmas and entertaining for the Holidays. George was a member of the American Legion Post #0450 and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5943 and #943. George will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 66 years, Lois Florance, his sons, Charles Florance, and Stephen Florance, his daughter, Melissa Florance-Lynch and her husband Art Lynch, his grandchildren, Christopher (Kim), Nicholas, and Kenneth Florance. He also leaves his sisters, Dorothy Hazekamp, Joan Gordon (Howard), and his brothers, Robert Florance (Fran), and Joseph Florance (Kathy). George is the uncle to Lynn Clune, Glenn Hazekamp, Gary Hazekamp (Carol), Tami Santos (Jim), Robert Gordon (Debra), Carol Hill (Gordon), Robyn Renwick (Harold), JoAnn Florance, Thomas Florance, and Suzann Florance, Marcel Jr “Skip” Diller (Judy), David Diller, Cindy Winchell, and Nancy Bridges (Ben). George was predeceased by his son Michael Florance, his sister Evelyn Diller Duffy, his brother in-laws, Marcel Diller Sr., Harlo Duffy, Simon Hazekamp, his nephew Timothy Diller, his niece Marcy Holder, and his daughter in-law Claudia Florance. The family will receive visitors Wednesday March 24th from 4 – 7 PM, and Thursday March 25th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11 am Thursday. Interment will follow at Pompton Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Lakes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans, Chilton Medical Center Foundation, Pompton Plains, or the Pequannock Township First Aid and Rescue Squad.
Jamin, Peggy passed away on March 18, 2021. She was born in Yonkers New York, the daughter of Beatrice and James Martin Sr. She has one brother, Jim Jr. She was the loving wife of Thomas W Jamin for almost 50 years. They met in 1946 as teenagers and married in 1951. Tom passed away in 2001. Peggy is survived by her four children and their spouses; Margie and Butch Kirtley; Tommy and Annette; Billy and Bonnie and John and Debbie. Peggy adored her 6 grandchildren Elyse, Nikki, Michelle, Matthew, Kellie and Kelsie. Her great grandson, Chase and great grandson, Jett, was born to Elyse and Russell. Peggy was proud of her Irish heritage. At 4 years of age she started Irish step dancing lessons. Through the years she won many medals; including several “1st Place” in the single performance category. When she was 17 she was asked to start a Step Dancing Class for the young people of St. Joesph’s Parish. It was very popular; her class had 35-40 dancers every Saturday morning until 1953. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1947. After graduating, at the age of 16, she became a typist at the International Paper Company in New York City. Two years later she began employment at Price Brothers and worked her way up to be an executive secretary. She left to start her family; always her lifetime dream. In 1987 she had an opportunity to return to work at the District Attorney’s office in Westchester County. Peggy loved being back in the workforce and retired at age 65. Peggy moved to West Milford NJ in 2009 to be closer to her family and found the move to bring her an added sense of happiness and serenity. A lifetime liberal, she thoroughly enjoyed civil conversations about ideas to make our country more accepting of people of color; gay and lesbians and more tolerant and understanding of each person’s personal choices. Peggy has been a friend of Bill’s for years. She was very grateful for her four loving children. They were her pride and joy. Peggy was loved by many. Her good heart and commitment to walking her talk was an inspiration to all who knew her. The love she felt was an indication of the love she shared. She will be missed. There will be a funeral service to celebrate Peggy in July 2021 in West Milford, NJ. Details to follow.
Mincica, Jason, 43, of Pequannock on March 20, 2021 he was a service manager for Mercedes Benz in Queens, N.Y. and enjoyed playing golf. Beloved son of Daniel and the late Ellen (Dimick) Mincica. Loving brother of Nicholas and Daniel and sister Megan Mincica and stepmother Jackie Mincica. Also survived by his aunt Melissa Aiello and husband Jim, several nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Rd.,West Milford.

Naumann, F. Edmund, 92, of West Milford, originally of Paterson and subsequently Wyckoff and North Haledon, passed away in his home on March 5, 2021. Mr. Naumann, known to friends and family as Ed, was the husband of Claire (Van Der Sluys) Naumann. Ed was a veteran of the US Army. Ed was the beloved husband for over 70 years to his wife Claire, adored father to two children, cherished grandfather to four grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Immediate family held a private Victory Service to celebrate his life at Richards Funeral Home, West Milford. Final interment was at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa, NJ.
Parken, Stella (Mc Cloud), 83, years old, went home to be with her Lord and Savior March 11, 2021. She had battled cancer for the last year. She was born in the small hamlet of Sterling Forest which is part of Warwick, N.Y. She grew up in Ringwood N.J. and moved to Bloomingdale N.J. shortly after she was married where she resided for 59 years. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a former member of the Bloomingdale Baptist Church and was currently a member of Riverdale Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher. She was the beloved wife of the late Clifford R. Parken for 44 years. She is predeceased by her parents Alexander & Bertha Mc Cloud. Her two brothers Leonard & Harrisson and five sisters Rita Smith, Ella Mitchell, Ruth Jefferson, Phyliss Piepmeyer, Beatrice Hardy. Survived by her loving daughter Mary M Lindstrom and her husband Robert of Hewitt, N.J., her son Clifford R Parken Jr. and her sister Eva Pennock and her husband Robert of Eugene Oregon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Richards Funeral Home, Inc at 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike Riverdale, N.J. Wednesday March 17, 2021 6pm to 8pm. Funeral will be Thursday March 18, 2021 at 11am at the funeral home with interment to follow at Mount Rest Cemetery, Boonton Ave in Butler N.J.
Reilly, Susan (Jandura), of Hewitt, died on March 28, 2021. She was born in Passaic, New Jersey, the daughter of Helen and William Jandura, sister of Stephen. She is survived by her husband Jim, whom she was married to for of 47 years, daughter Allison, son Michael, daughter-in-law Joanna, and grandchildren Jack and Julia. Susan grew up in Clifton, New Jersey, where she attended business school, and worked at Superior Packaging, where she met her husband Jim. They built their house in Hewitt, where they lived since 1975. Susan was a stay at home mom to her son and daughter throughout their childhood, as well as a dedicated caregiver to her grandchildren in later years. She reentered the working world after her children went off to college and finished her career working for Jim as the office manager for the business he founded, TechSystems. She was the owner of the carpool, and the familiar face in the stands at every sporting event. She loved decorating her home, and planting flowers, turning her mountainous backyard landscape into a rock garden. Susan loved her annual trips to Long Beach Island where she vacationed with family and friends for over forty years. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed greatly.  The family will receive visitors Thursday, April 1st, from 2-4 PM at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. An outdoor celebration will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to RCC Charities, honoring the doctors and nurses who continue to fight against cancer. Schechter, John A. on Thursday, March 11, 2021. It is with a broken heart and profound sadness to announce to everyone the passing of my dear kid brother, John Schechter. He peacefully joined my parents last night after succumbing to acute myeloid Leukemia. Born in Bronx, NY, he recently celebrated his 56th birthday. John graduated West Milford High School in 1986. He went on to become a medal winning athlete in Special Olympics and a champion bowler in The Thunderbirds bowling team. A beloved member of Lakeside Community, he is survived by me (brother, Leo Jr.) and his nephew, Alexander George Schechter. He also leaves behind countless friends that he's made everywhere along his journey. He left a lasting, indelible impression on all of us. Everyone that knew him knew that he was special in ways that most can't begin to imagine. God speed, John. On the wings of angels, go to God who has called for you. We miss you terribly. Rest in peace.
