Babcock, Georgia (Thompson) age 77 passed away on March 3, 2022. Georgia was born and raised in Ringwood, NJ. She shared a beautiful life with her loving husband Ken of 49 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Georgia worked for the Ringwood School District as a lunch aide and also a teacher’s aide for many years. She also worked for Glen Ridge Savings and Loan in Bloomingdale as the Branch Manager. Georgia and her husband Ken devoted many of their years to the Ringwood Baseball and Softball Leagues. Georgia was very talented at and loved to crochet. It made her very happy to share her special creations she made with others. Georgia was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Babcock Sr., her son Kenneth Babcock Jr., and her daughter Charlotte Giarratano. Georgia is survived by brothers Thomas Thompson and Frank Thompson both of Ringwood. Daughter Judi Hauser and her husband Luke Hauser of Hewitt, Grandson John and his wife Nicole, Grandson Joel and his fiancée Brittany, Granddaughter Julia, Grandson Edward, great-grandchildren David, Dillinger, Raven, and Emelia. Falzone,Robert J., age 83 passed away on March 7, 2022. Robert, known as Bob, was born in New York City and raised in Franklin Square, New York. His work took him to New Jersey where he and his beloved wife of 51 years, Lucy, raised their children, Rob and Diana. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather of three children whom he adored. Bob worked for Panasonic as a Vice President of Corporate Sales, and traveled overseas extensively for his career. He served in the Army National Guard. He had a beautiful singing voice, a passion for cars, and a soft heart for animals. Bob is predeceased by his father Joseph, mother Katherine, and brother Frank. Bob is survived by his wife Lucy of West Milford. Son Rob Falzone and his wife Sarah, grandchildren Lily and Quinn. Daughter, Diana Falzone and Grandson Alexander. Freedman, Diane E. (Plocinski), 62, of West Milford, passed away Tuesday, March 8, at Overlook Medical Center. Diane was born to Ernest and Elizabeth Plocinski. She grew up in Clifton, graduating from Clifton High School in 1977. Diane went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Montclair State University in 1981, and a master’s degree in counseling in higher education in 1984. She would later return to her alma mater in 2006 to take on the role of assistant director of employer relations. In 2009, Diane was promoted to director of career services for the Feliciano School of Business, a role in which she helped countless students pursue their career journeys. Diane was a beloved wife, mother and friend. She loved spending her summers in Long Beach Island with her husband and two daughters. Diane will be remembered for her infectious laugh and ability to make anyone she welcomed into her house feel like they were at home. Diane is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ken; daughters, Lindsey and Laura; brother-in-law Steve (Terri), Venice, Fl.; sisters-in-law Susan Steele-Miller (Tom), North Port, Fl. and Nancy Walsh (Jim), Tampa, Fl.; and nephews Justin, Ryan Walsh and Matthew Walsh. She was predeceased by her parents. A viewing will be held Friday, March 11, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 12, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 1911 Union Valley Road, Hewitt. Glacken, Jerome J., 85, of West Milford, NJ on Monday, March 21, 2022. Beloved husband of Beverly (Tomasofsky) Glacken. Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Mellody) Glacken. A United States Army veteran, Jerome was employed by Westinghouse/North American Philips in Bloomfield, NJ and later for the US Postal Service in Newark, NJ. Surviving are a son, Jerome M. of West Milford, NJ, a brother, Thomas of Scranton, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, Gerard and Jack. Jerram, Monique (Dilatush), 57, of Hewitt, NJ, passed away on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice. Born in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of Eileen and Michael Dilatush. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend to many. Monique enjoyed adventure, art, music, boating, and dancing. Best known for her silliness and memorable home cooking, she loved the beach and felt most at peace in the water. Monique would light up any room with humor, grace and usually a few homemade appetizers. Monique is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Daniel P. Jerram, her daughter, Nicole Alicia Milazzo, of Oak Park, CA and by her parents, Eileen Gerber Williams of Bradenton, FL and Michael Dilatush of Mifflinburg, PA. With her connection to God’s green earth and to Mother Nature, Monique requested to rest in a green burial. A memorial service for Monique will be held on Saturday March 26, at 10 AM at Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah, NJ 07430. Martinez, Evelyn Mahood, (nee Kitchell) age 92, of West Milford passed away March 26, 2022 at Hospice Visiting Nurse Association in Dover after a brief illness. She was born in Riverdale in 1929 to Lester and Linnie Kitchell. Evelyn was a graduate of Butler High School and received her bachelor's degree from William Paterson College. She was an elementary school teacher in the Butler School system and also was a receptionist/secretary for Eastern Propane in Oak Ridge. She was involved in a number of organizations and charities including Bloomingdale United Methodist Church and many children's charities. She was always proud of her many years as a volunteer ("Pink Lady") at Chilton Memorial Hospital. She was a great cook and always brought her signature dishes to the family events. She is predeceased by both her husbands Robert Mahood and Jamie Martinez, her parents Lester and Linnie Kitchell, her brother Lester Kitchell Jr., and her two sisters Shirley Nicholson and Elaine Rodda. She is survived by her sister Joan Quinn and twelve nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be 4-8 pm on Wednesday March 30 at Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale, NJ. A graveside service will be 11 am on Thursday, March 31 at North Hardyston Cemetery, Route 94, Hamburg. Please meet at the cemetery. Morrissey, Diane (Barone), 61 years old, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday March 23, 2022. Formerly of Dumont, NJ attended St; Mary’s elementary school and graduated from Dumont High School class of 1979. Attended Bergen Community College and earned her Associates degree in Horticulture. Met and married the love of her life Wayne, September 5, 1981. Moved to West Milford, NJ in 1985 to raise their family and open their own business still operating today after 35 years, Morrissey Garage Doors. Diane was predeceased by her grandparents James and Mary Carter, and father Alfred Barone and her beloved great Pyrenees Archie Mills. Diane is survived by her husband of 40 years, Wayne, of West Milford, her daughter, Jessica Wright and husband Justin of Highland Lakes, NJ, her daughter, Amanda Morrissey and companion Daniel Costigan of West Milford, NJ, daughter, Kristen Reading of West Milford and her former spouse Donald Reading Jr. of Ringwood. A loving mimi to her 4 prized grandchildren Dylan, Jaxon, Jamison and Ariana. Sister, Donna Connelly of Lodi and mother, May Barone of Chestnut Ridge, NY. Diane dedicated herself to multiple charities and services such as St. Jude, American Red Cross, Helping Domestic Violence Victims. Her loves in life include her soulmate, Wayne, her girls, her grandbabies, her business she grew, dinners out with family and family gatherings. Her passion for flowers and gardening that brought so much joy and beauty to everyone. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness, passion, love, wisdom, smiles that lit up the room, positive energy and humor. Schlapfer, Warren, 98, passed away March 14, 2022. Born in Fairfield, NJ he was seventy year resident of Pompton Lakes, and was the manager of Excelsior Lumber Supply in Butler prior to retiring. Warren was an Army World War II veteran, charter member of the Fairfield VFW Post 7925, and member of the Butler VFW.
