Bishop, Shirley Jane, 79, of West Milford passed away March 16, 2023. She was a person who touched many people's hearts and gave unconditional love to all those around her. She had a laugh and smile with which you could not smile along with. She enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and also her friends. Most of all she enjoyed her time being a mother and wife of sixty years to Robert. Shirley was a school bus driver in West Milford, and helped in the Girl Scouts. She loved animals especially her fur babies Annie, Tobin, Ace, Tucker and Midnight. Her most enjoyable holiday was Christmas and the smiles on everyone's faces as gifts were opened. Beloved wife of Robert Bishop Sr. Loving mother of Brenda Bishop and partner Scott Card, Robert Bishop Jr. and wife Dana, Michael Bishop and partner Lisa. Sister Kathy Hrinko and husband Tim. Loving grandmother of Cliodhna, Kristy, Mandy and R.J., great grandchildren, Shyann, Sylus, Serenity, Saige and Skarlette. Also survived by her daughter in law Christine Bishop, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Harold Nicholson and Dorothy Boob, two siblings Liz Kendig and Bud Nicholson, and her son Joseph Bishop. DeGraw, Irma Elizabeth (Gormley), 87, daughter of Seymour and Myrtle Gormley, passed away March 31, 2023. Born in Butler, New Jersey, she resided in Pompton Plains, since 1961. She worked for Intveld’s Nursery and Van Wingerden Greenhouse as a horticulturist. Irma was a homemaker who loved to bake, a crafter of beautiful treasures, and an enthusiast of travel and the outdoors. She was the beloved mother of Elizabeth Purdum (Timothy) of Pompton Plains, New Jersey; Amy Wiesehahn (Michael) of Columbia, South Carolina; and Edward DeGraw Jr., of Hudson, Florida. Grandmother of Matthew Purdum, Michelle Van Ness (John), Victoria Larson (Justin), Rebecca Wiesehahn, Michael Wiesehahn, and Austin Wiesehahn. Great grandmother of John, Silas, and Emmett Van Ness; and Jared DeGraw and William Larson. She is also survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward D. DeGraw, Sr.; son, Edwin DeGraw; and grandson, Daniel DeGraw. The eldest sister of 7 siblings, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Visiting hours are Tuesday, April 4th, from 3-7 pm at Richards Funeral Home, located at 4 Newark-Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale, New Jersey. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 5th, at 10 am at the funeral home with interment to follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery, Butler, New Jersey.
Hollick, Linda J., 67, passed away March 3, 2023. She resided in Denville, NJ for the past ten years, formerly of West Milford. She enjoyed knitting and gardening. Beloved mother of Jamie Hollick, Chris Hollick and his companion Lauren, all of West Milford, Michael Hollick, wife Allison, and her four grandchildren of Jefferson. Iozia, Lisa Marie, 40, of Hewitt, NJ passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in Greenville, SC from a sudden heart attack. Born in Wayne, NJ to Francesca Poyner (Ingravallo) and Carlo Iozia, and resident of West Milford, NJ for 38 years. She was a kind soul with a wild spirit and had a smile that could light up an entire room. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Surviving are her life partner, James Brian Philyaw, sister, Christie Iozia Shauger and Paternal Grandmother, Beatrice Iozia. Predeceased by Paternal Grandfather, Louis Iozia and Maternal Grandparents, Pietro & Gina Ingravallo. Stefancik, Darlene Adele (Van Dunk), 75, passed away March 31, 2023. Darlene was a Ramapough Lenape Nation life long member. Her native name was Falling Leaves. Darlene was a loving wife of Michael for 58 years. She had six children and two step children -Sonja ( Howard) Dewitt, Rena ( Anthony) Rodriguez, Marcey (Anthony) Langhorn, Michael Stefancik, Claire Rosales, Kristy (Charles Jr.) DeFreese, John (Patricia) Stefancik, Walter( Jessica) Stefancik. She had sixteen grandchildren Nicholas, Damien, Dayna, Josie, Drew, Tiffany, Phillip, Veronica, Angel, Amber, Melanie, Michael A., Cheyenne, Charles III, Walter Jr., and Tristan. She had three great grandchildren McKenzie, Jaxson, and Demitry. Also survived by and her brother, Raymond Van Dunk and sister, Rose DeFreese She was a person to travel place to place to visit her many family members. Which also included all her in laws that she loved spending time with. Most of the time she traveled with her husband. And when not with him she was with her brothers, sister or her children. She was a very loving and caring person. She worked hard all her life to provide for her children and grandchildren. In her younger years her passion for caring for others started. She was one of the Pioneer Ramapough Women who started Meals On Wheels in Passaic County. She went with her sister Rose and other Ramapough women to Admiral Perry Culinary School in Pa. There is where she learned how to prepare meals for Meals On Wheels. Later in life together her husband Michael started their own business as farmers which led to many adventures. Throughout the years they had many ventures in owning many different businesses, traveling across the United States and to Canada doing Pow Wows selling her Native Art and teaching our culture. In the end the Bait and Tackle business (TRADER MIKE'S SPORTING GOODS) lasted the longest which we still have today and Is where she spent many hours day and night. When she along with her husband semi retired she stayed at home more often. She loved to spend time with her children, grand children, family and friends. To say the least she led an adventurist life. Visiting hours will be held Monday, April 3, from 6-8 pm at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Rd., West Milford. Final disposition is private.
Vogel, Patricia L., 80, of West Milford passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. Born in Englewood, NJ to the late Charles and Dorothy Law, she was the beloved mother of Frank Vogel Jr. and his wife Jennifer, James Vogel and Karen Fernley and loving sister to Teresa Palombi and Kathleen Shutta and her husband Thomas Shutta. She was also a beloved Grandmother to Abigail, Kyle, Ella and Anna and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Frank, and her sister Margaret Black and brother in laws John Palombi and Donald Black. Visiting hours are Thursday March 23, 3-7 pm at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. Funeral mass is Friday 10 am at St Joseph's Church, 454 Germantown Road, West Milford.
